The topic of mental health is a difficult one, especially in the Christian community. I strongly believe Christians fully accept mental health as an essential dialogue within the church. They have lovingly wanted to embrace the difficulties of such topics as depression, suicide, bipolar, anxiety, and the many other ailments under the umbrella of mental health illnesses.
There is a difference in being uncomfortable with a message God uses to speak to your heart, and a message that never reaches your heart because the language is to uncomfortable.

Who I am on the inside will never be determined by this world. It is determined by the glory of a God our eyes can't handle, and our minds can't comprehend. A God who loves beyond the limits and boundaries of human love. A God who is completely available, always punctual, and forever reliable.
Never flawless It is true. No expectations to be. Some days there is freedom in this, Other days, The flaws are all she sees. While never alone, she stays afloat.. Forgets what will never be. My younger years, when I had yet to meet Jesus, oh the sin, it sits in my mind like a heap of dirt in a field. He forgets, but I struggle.
The worldly perception of the Christ follower is often opposite of the truth. We hear words like uptight, prude, mousey, and there is always hypocritical thrown in by someone. Believers do not go to church because we are better than or perfect. We go to church because we are broken, humbled, and desire to meet with others who know exactly what that means!
You see, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In many cases, I assumed I could 'fix' the world because I know I have that power. But I cannot.
I am learning the difference of being the one in peril versus being the family member on the outside looking in- powerless, exhausted, speechless, and scared. Picture me tapping my fingernails against the windowpane of a room I cannot enter, tears pouring down my cheeks, and fear capturing every breath I take.
