The Lord is my shepherd
He tends to my soul and
guards my heart.
He makes me stop and rest,
Lays me down just where I need.
Comfort, peace
Refreshed.
He guides my steps
And leads the way.
For the glory of
His name’s sake.
When I stumble
Away from His will,
When the valley turns dark,
I have no fear,
For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
Are power in your hands
And comfort to my soul.
Where you lead,
Father, I go.
You prepare a table before me,
Where all the enemies watch and see.
Of all the sinners in the land,
Father God, why this sheep?
And you anoint me with oil,
with your own hand.
The blessings are too numerous to count.
My heart beats in awe
My mind cannot process
The mighty measure of your love.
Can it be
that your goodness and love
will follow me?
Am I worthy of such devotion
From the King of Kings?
Your Son said I am,
Though it’s hard to see.
This loyalty is true,
And I remain devoted
right back to you.
When I doubt, Lord
this I remember.
My soul is Yours
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
