Quick Reflections-“Jesus Never Let’s Go”

This world is full of disappointment.

People hurt people.

Let down is inevitable.

Pain is certain.

Loneliness will take your breath away.

When loss overcomes and strife has a higher score, there’s a way out. We can’t change how someone impacts our life. It may be sweet, but it may be sour. It may feel like a warm, gentle breeze, or a raging storm of fire. The choices of others hit in many ways.

Because our longing speaks so loud, the desire to hold on in situations when God says to let go is strong. But we were never meant to grasp at hope in people or situations. The very ties gripping us are the ones Jesus wants us to break.

“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Those ties are heavy. In hopes of fixing broken relationships, we slowly release the tie to Jesus, or worse, never find the connection to Him in the first place. The inner longing will never cease to exist, it’s meant to find a Savior.

After years of let down, it may be hard to accept the truth that Jesus never let’s go. He’s not like this world. He is far away from it while always being within the hearts of those who believe and trust Him. He will never abandon you, or leave you alone.

There’s only one way out of a relationship with Jesus Christ. You choose to leave.

Hope exists.
Perfect love exists.
It is always Jesus.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
