I thought I had a tattered soul,
Ripped and scored,
frayed and torn,
But it was not to be.
For words brought life
And I came to know
With each thread of this..
my tattooed soul.
Where forgiveness lies
Forever printed
Where only God and I can see.
And with each word
Embedded there,
I fill with hope
In His tender care
And gently touch each
Healed seam.
For it is life giving
Just to know
That God himself
Tattooed my soul
With love for the redeemed.
When worldly strife
Haunts my life
And troubles come my way.
I look down
Inside myself
Where tattoos cover
worldly graves.
There is peace,
In every seam
That God alone
Drew in me.
To illustrate and elevate
The love poured in
Bold palette in hue.
Or softer shades of grey.
Each line
Customized
Importance each word holds.
A clever way to celebrate
The healing in a tattooed soul.

Thanks for sharing. This is so pretty and I love the truth behind it.
