“Voice”
A simple story- I met Jesus; He offered salvation. I allowed Satan to use mental illness against me, and I chose to turn away. When I turned away, I spent a year in grave sin, hate, anger, lies, and deceit. When I turned back to Jesus, I learned redemption, mercy, grace, and love while living with bipolar. I learned I can’t live my days without bringing Jesus with me in everything I do, say, and, most importantly, think! At the base of living with free-will, we must comprehend the power of thought.
That is how this journey began. A life for Christ changed how I chose to live. As I trusted the Lord in my forgiveness and healing, I found a voice of freedom. What others stashed in a closet, I shared without holding back. What good is sharing good news if we can’t be honest about the walk that got us there. My background story is a blessing because it led me to Christ.
My time is marked, and only God knows the date. My voice must be precise in what I believe, and who my eternity rests in. The life story of Jesus must shine so that others might know. While I lend my voice to those striving to be mentally healthy, all I say has to point to the greatest Healer of all. My story may inspire, but let His love inspire changed hearts and minds for the Glory of His Kingdom.
