Poetry- Fill me, Father

Father, fill me with your spirit,
fill me, please.
Give me what I need to see the following day.
Yes, fill me with your wisdom,
I refuse to walk without you; only you can guide my way.
The path is unsure when my eyes fall from you.
Guide me through all I set out to do.
The day is long, the hours slow.
Fill me, so I know the speed to go.
Keep my chin held high, my eyes looking ahead.
Living in the world’s chaos, yet focused on you instead.
Fill me with your mighty power.
That I remember your love and mercy
through each passing hour.
Fill me with a passionate desire.
Let me stand tall in You, the Almighty, filled with fire.
And when my shoulders fall, and the work is hard to do.
Carry me Father, and fill me, with you.
Your hands are never tired, Your grace never low.
In you, I feel my abilities grow.
Life is a daily battle, and when I think I left my armor behind,
You are there to fill my heart and saturate my mind.
With this I go, another day ahead, but one last plea.
Father of spirit, love, mercy, patience,
please, fill me.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
