Daily Dose- Mental Health Devotional for Returning to Christ

Romans 8: 1-2

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

English Standard Version

I remember attending church for the first time following my worst case of mania. I cried the entire church service. I may never recall the sermon, the songs, or the faces, but I remember the presence of the Holy Spirit comforting me. Overcome with feelings of guilt, fear, and failure, the lonely walk into that Sanctuary is one I will never forget.

Convinced my sin was greater than grace and beyond mercy, the tears poured down like Niagara Falls from beginning to end, and then on the way home. Wrapped in disgrace, I learned an important lesson that day.

While I was consumed with my failure, God was faithful in his love.

The miles I had wandered were nothing more than an arms length away from the loving embrace of my Savior. The expectation of condemnation filled me with fear, but never came to pass. I was set free from my sin and death through the blood of Jesus Christ.

You are never too far from the arms of Jesus. The power of His mercy, grace, and forgiveness for those who are in Christ Jesus is life changing and rearranging. The prison Satan hopes to hold us in was bulldozed down by the cross. We are free. Will you accept that truth for your life today?

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
