Poetry- Forbidden

Forbidden.

A word the rebellious hate.

The unknown locked behind

The forbidden gate.

Poison’s touch.

And painful sorrow.

Awaits the consequence

Found tomorrow.

You reach in but

pull away.

From the fire that sparks

The hottest flame.

Forbidden.

Is the love that’s not love.

And the ache that is an ache.

Where the ground sinks

And the Earth shakes.

It’s the struggle for power

In a powerless game.

And the choice in the climb

When striving for fame.

Forbidden.

It’s the final breath

On the saddest day.

As answers elude

And souls run away.

When prayers were said

But answers not to be.

Death wins

But loses the victory.

And anger roars

But peace will claim.

The broken heart,

as Savior saves.

Forbidden.

The tale of choice.

And burning desire.

Where sacrifice meets sacrifice

And fire meets fire.

The point of separation

Eternal death to sin.

And crosses are carried

Where the air is thin.

Love is forbidden

But love lives within.

Internally restricted

Freely for Him.

Life is a speck of endless decision.

To walk away from a world

Constantly forbidden.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
