The topic of mental health is a difficult one, especially in the Christian community. I strongly believe Christians fully accept mental health as an essential dialogue within the church. They have lovingly wanted to embrace the difficulties of such topics as depression, suicide, bipolar, anxiety, and the many other ailments under the umbrella of mental health illnesses.

When you begin to feel captured and held hostage in your own mind, you know you have a problem.
I began following Amy a while back as I began my own personal journey to share hope and love as a believer living with bipolar disorder. This past week, Amy took her own life, and the community is heartbroken.
“I just found your daughter trying to hang herself.”
Yesterday, as my loved one attempted suicide, I had no choice but to finally face my fear and to be strong enough to step forward in faith of the unknown.
These topics are ugly, I know it, you know it, and we as a community know it. Not our children, we cry. Not the innocent beautiful children.
Suicide won't win!
It didn't take long before the mania and depression collided, leaving me in one of the worst states I'd ever experienced. Locked behind doors of a mental hospital, I never felt more alone.
He knows just where you are, in the moment of death you seek.. He is the mightiest of mighties, as you find your weakest of weak.
