Poetry- Resolved In Fire

Fires flare

In midnight glare

When rest eludes the mind.

And life has evolved

Beyond a visions time.

All I see is flaming red

And taunting black

In all I dream

And what I lack.

Conversations cease

In quiet ravines

And distance closes gaps.

I am Pluto.

You the sun.

To address how far we’ve run.

No commonality

In common lives

No honesty

In loose goodbyes.

No emotion

Or depth.

Not a tear

Or sob in lost breath.

The fire shoots higher

In realities evil plan.

To divide

To separate

To end

All it can.

What is hope?

The final string unravels

Judgement slams

The bang of the gavel.

We walk away

In covered flame

The fire won the battle.

Love conditioned is no love.

No matter what we face.

Left us torn and tattered

In another opposite place.

The space created is comfortable.

Content in alone.

Within the burning fire

Peace is subtle

And welcomes me home.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
