Poetry- Steady on the Throne

All is flipped upside down

And life has changed indeed.

Isolation lives here now

Renamed ‘Social Distancing’.

Prepared in home

For weeks to come.

We’ve searched for what we need.

Temporary norms

Essential living

For upcoming weeks.

And many are unsettled

Wrapped in unknown.

Yet, it remains..

God sits steady

on the throne.

You can change daily routine,

Lock the world away.

Close every business

And stand six feet away.

Close every school,

Test every soul,

But I’m here to say

God sits steady

on the throne.

He’s not to blame

He made no plan

For a virus to mutate

From animal to man.

As we live in distance

Humbly do as told,

I choose peace in Christ,

For God is steady

on the throne.

Love lives there,

And filters down

For trying moments

In silenced sound.

When world erupts

And plans change.

It’s Christ alone,

That Holy Name.

Our hearts believe

Our prayers we’ll raise

One song united,

in lifted praise.

In Him we walk

On solid ground, and

Trust what we know.

Fear is conquered,

And peace remains,

For God is steady

Upon the throne.

~May all who believe find peace in this difficult time. Christ in us is stronger than anything of this world, and whatever comes, God remains steady on the throne.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
