Daily Dose- Mental Health Devotional for Fear

Deuteronomy 31:8
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

English Standard Version

‘Fear not’ is found 80 times (though many disagree on the number) in the Bible. Why? Because it is used by the enemy to control, destroy, and devour. Fear in our minds is like poison, blocking our hope and blinding our faith.

I grew up knowing fear. God had planned for me to be a strong woman of faith; Satan crushed me with a fear I couldn’t shake for years. When I finally released every stronghold relating to worry or fear, the woman God intended emerged even stronger. With a bold faith and guided wisdom, fear vanished.

Being diagnosed with bipolar is a challenge. I spike in highs and lows, and hitting those peaks can be frightening. God is there waiting. He knows mania is dangerous. Filling my regime is prayer, Bible reading, silent reflection, and worship. Bathing my mental health with these pure remedies washes away the fear. Bipolar no longer rules me because Jesus fills me.

If you are struggling to surrender your fears to Jesus, start today by releasing one. Tomorrow, release two. Increase your surrender daily and allow the Lord to spill into your spirit. You deserve this freedom. It’s time to breakup with fear.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
