Poetry-His Presence

I sat a while in the sun,

looking up at that blue sky.

Smiled a smile of knowing,

and watched a dove fly by.

I could feel the presence on me,

Those bumps began to stir,

And the silence spoke loudly..

..so loudly with no words.

Jesus is here, I know it,

I feel it in my heart..

Explaining is complicated,

..Let me try to start.

He circled around my body,

He sat within my soul,

He breathed the breath I lost,

while experiencing him come and go.

He heard my simple prayer,

And shared how it would be.

He loved so many out there,

while uniquely loving me.

He guarded my mind with wisdom,

He garnished thoughtfulness with love.

He tended to my inner being,

Precious gift above.

Our encounter slowly faded,

I could feel Him gently go.

But this moment will last forever,

That I humbly know.

I returned to my observation

Appreciated his glory and grace.

The day I know Jesus,

met me in this place.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
