You don’t know
The hidden pain
Behind closed doors
The things I never say no more.
You won’t understand
My longest night
And withered hope
Kept out of sight.
You see what I choose
Or maybe what you choose,
Far from reality and forbidden truth.
Closed curtains,
cover the windows of my heart.
Where silent screams start.
And peace escapes my soul.
Still, I press on.
I march alone.
Whether they see or not.
I rally with determination,
a daughter of God.
In fierce fire
I lead the flames.
And win the battle
In life’s games.
With unexplained strength,
I go.
But you don’t know.
You will never see.
You are safe
From the ravaged me.

You may go unseen by others, but you are called, seen, and loved by God. God bless my struggling brothers and sisters, and give them endurance and peace. Life can be so hard at times.
