Authentic Stories Sharing His Authentic Love
When in a challenging marriage crisis, a worrisome bout of teenage collision, or our own internal struggle of whatever it may be we pray but we never listen. We cry out, we weep, but we forget to be silent and to hear His love pour into us.
So why is it, at some point we revert to acting more like those old people who constantly accused Jesus back in the day, than we do Jesus? Many things in this world are not of God, this truth is spoken repeatedly in scripture.
If only our life came with the technology to warn us when the storm was coming!
If we are not living a life in submission to our Lord, then we are living a life that brings us nothing more than a reflection of self-indulgent, disobedience. Our outward walk will only reflect our inward, self-seeking desires, and at some point you will collide with the Lord’s desire for your life.
When you chose Christ, you chose the Spirit to live within you, bringing us through our pain and circumstances into a complete forgiveness- repeatedly. That same forgiveness God pours out for us we are now able to pour out to others.
God can use His word to penetrate our thickest walls, breaking down those barriers that seem to hold him out.
To assume “God” will never give us more than we can handle expresses a limit that God simply does not have.
Run, little girl, run. Straight to the precipice down below. Run, run, as far as you can No where else to go.
So tonight, as I shed some of those tears I thought had dried up, I can rejoice in knowing that Jesus understands that fatigue, he understands my pain, and he understands the tears of joy, he understands my emotions- and yes, he fully understands the flood as the dam was released, and those wet drops began to fall.
A profound feeling of uncertainty lurks under your breath. You close your eyes and with a deep sigh, take your first step. You do not get far when you look up and see an intimidating site. Your legs stop.
