Quick Reflections: The Darkness We All Know

Have you ever felt darkness?
It vibrates through your soul
as you shutter with a bitter sensation.
Have you ever experienced it at the same time others do?
An entire group of people who acknowledge and feel its presence.
But no one does anything about it.
Some have no idea what to do, and others hope someone else will handle it.

No one speaks up for truth, light, or right in the face of wrong.
And as no one speaks up,
the darkness grows.
It thrives off the fear.
It thrives off the division.
It feasts on gossip, anger, and hate.
It laughs at those inserting themselves where only God belongs.

Darkness only needs one small space to start. Left unchecked, it grows until all you see is a vast emptiness.

It happens in the world.
In our schools.
In our homes.
And even in our churches.

May we be diligent and aware.
Remember who you are.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
