Daily Prompt: November 2, 2023: “Everyone Should Know”

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

My first thought is common sense. However, that’s a lot to ask.

Maybe people need to know the gift and skill of listening. Folks are too busy wanting to say something these days. Nobody listens to hear, comprehend, and appreciate another’s ideas or perspectives. Life is not a debate. Stop being prepared with a rebuttal. Or worse, clumsily fabricate an unintelligent response.

My thoughts whisper, “Please know that no one owes you anything. If you want a successful life, work for it. Bring back the challenge and chase with determination, devotion, desire, and dedication. Stop being lazy and waiting for your magic lamp to fall from the sky. There’s no genie coming to save you.

But, perhaps my heart cries out the loudest, “Know you are loved. There is a God who is for you. There is a Savior who died to redeem you. Oh, my Jesus. He took our punishment for living life against God. He took it straight to the cross. His broken body- raised, beaten, and bloodied. Jesus died a miserable death in my place, for all of us, for all time.

But friend, it didn’t end there.

Three days later, He rose again. His body is restored and whole, though the scars remain. He walked among the living until He ascended to heaven. He is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no way to our Heavenly Father but through Him.

There’s inner turmoil you wrestle with. Tangling with truth, you chase knowledge. Yet, wisdom is what you seek. You wonder, question, and doubt. You are not alone. We all pursue solid answers until we know what we know what we know.

And we will leave it right there.

I'm someone who has always had a deep passion for literature and writing. From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of words and the way they can transport us to different worlds, open our minds to new ideas, and connect us with people and experiences that are distant from our own. Whether it's immersing myself in a classic novel, jotting down my thoughts in a journal, or crafting my own creative stories, writing and literature have always been an essential part of my life. I'm excited to continue exploring this rich and rewarding field, and to share my thoughts and insights with others who share my love for all things literary.
